Salam and welcome to SOLOTRAX my little corner of the internet where memories of past journeys meet the anticipation of new ones. This space is where I relive and share my solo adventures in the Netherlands—a country that has always felt like home, though my roots are a bit more tangled.

I was born in Dublin, now live in Austria since roughly 25 years, but my heart has long been scattered across the Netherlands. As a teenager, I spent countless summers and winters there, working part-time, exploring its streets, and growing up in ways I never imagined at just 14. Now, at 48, I feel a pull back to those places that once shaped me—places where independence and a love for travel first took hold. It’s time to retrace my steps, to revisit the echoes of my younger self, and to see how much has changed… and how much has stayed the same.
